NORTH MANCHESTER - Mary K. Lynch, 75, of Claypool, died at 7:47 a.m. April 4, 2009, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born July 25, 1933, in Bonanza, Ky., to Jack and Biddie Hackworth Merritt. On March 1, 1953, she married Rex E. Lynch, who survives.
She was a homemaker and a farm wife. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1950. She was a member of Jackson Jr.'s Home Economics Club and Packerton United Methodist Church, where she taught adult Sunday school for several years. She was a former member of Sidney Elementary School PTA.
Also surviving are a son, Edward E. Lynch, Claypool; a daughter, Jane A. (and spouse William Jr.) Helblig, Warsaw; a brother, James (and spouse Bonnie) Merritt, Sidney; two sisters, Irene Kraft, Kenton, Ohio, and Beatrice Hackworth, Warsaw; and three grandchildren, Jennica, Dustin and Eric Helblig. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor Ed French officiating. Burial will be in South Pleasant Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
