SYRACUSE – Mary Jane Miller, 84, of Syracuse, died at 6:37 a.m. Jan. 16, 2013, in I.U. Goshen Hospital. She was born Oct. 3, 1928, in Toledo, Ohio, to Arthur and Myrtle M. Bushong Robinson. On July 4, 1946, in Syracuse, she married Roy “Doc” Miller Jr., who died March 12, 1986. A lifetime Syracuse area resident, she graduated from Syracuse High School in 1946, retired from Johnson Controls, Goshen, after 40 years of service and formerly attended Grace Lutheran Church, Syracuse. Surviving are two sons, Tom Miller, Syracuse, and Jon (and spouse Mandie) Miller, Leesburg; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Darr, Syracuse. She also was preceded in death by a grandson and four brothers. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Robert Rice Jr. officiating. A private burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.
