NAPPANEE – Mary Holtz Rishling, 59, of Nappanee, died unexpectedly after a short illness at 5:41 p.m. Nov. 17, 2012, in Elkhart General Hospital. She was born Aug. 11, 1953, in LaPorte, to Ralph and Lucille Raymond Holtz. On July 19, 1975, in LaPorte, she married Robert “Bob” Rishling, who survives. She was a graduate of LaPorte High School. She moved to Nappanee from Florida in 1992. She worked at Tri-County Ambulance Service for the last 11 years. Also surviving are a daughter, Christa (and spouse Travis) Burkholder, Nappanee; a son, Chad (and spouse Bethany) Rishling, Milford; six grandchildren; nine sisters: Marlene Alsfasser, South Bend; Judy Gearhart, Knox; Cherie (and spouse Jerry) Hoover, Hanna; Karen (and spouse Jim) Carney, Nappanee; Sally Holtz, Westville; Debra Holtz, Knox; Sue Holtz, LaPorte; Cindy (and spouse Jon) Eichelberg, Westville; and Kathy (and spouse Mark) Rogers, St. Louis, Mo.; and two brothers, Ralph (and spouse Tina) Holtz, Valparaiso, and Jeff (and spouse Cindy) Holtz, Phoenix, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with the Rev. Janet McFall-Brown officiating.
