SYRACUSE – Mary Ellen Stiffler, 85, Goshen, and formerly of Syracuse, passed away March 20, 2015, at Greencroft, Goshen. She was born July 11, 1929, in Millwood, to Ora and Celia Jones Benson. She was married to Roy Stiffler, who preceded her in death in 1996. She lived most of her life in Syracuse, having spent the last 10 years in Goshen. She worked for the Syracuse State Bank as well as Weatherhead in Syracuse. She was a longtime member of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel, Syracuse. She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Stiffler, Goshen; two sons, Mark Stiffler, Goshen, and Robert (and spouse Joy) Stiffler, North Manchester; one stepdaughter, Connie Stiffler, New Paris; one sister, Irene Dyer, Goshen; two grandchildren; and eight grandchildren.
