PLEASANT HILL, Ohio - Mary Elizabeth Via, 91, of Bradford, died March 6, 2010, in Piqua Manor.
She was born May 28, 1918, to Charles and Susie West Senseman. On March 17, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo., she married Carl Lincoln Via, who died in 2007.
She was a graduate of Newton Schools. She retired from farming on her family's farm and was an active member of the Stillwater Community Church throughout the years of her life.
Surviving are three sons: Mark (and spouse Jeanne), Warsaw; Dean (and spouse Janice) Graham, N.C.; and Paul (and spouse Jeanne), Covington; a daughter-in-law, Karolyn, Pleasant Hill; 11 grandchildren: Nicole Hall, Randelman, N.C.; Daniel Via, Snowcamp, N.C.; Sam Via, Painter Creek; Jackson Via, Covington; Mamie Garber, Tawalame, Calif.; Bonnie Fox, Claypool; Brian and Beck Via, both of Chicago, Ill.; Jason and Jenelle Via, both of Pleasant Hill; and Joel Via, Troy; 12 great-grandchildren and two due soon. She was preceded in death by a son, Dale Via; a brother, Harold Senseman; and two sisters, Ruth Greer and Kathryn Mohler-Callihan.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main St., Pleasant Hill, with Pastor Ralph Schaafsma officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
