Mary Elizabeth Nickel, 87, of Syracuse, died at 3 p.m. Aug. 19, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Syracuse.
She was born April 26, 1924, in Kosciusko County, to Herman and Ethel Sutton Sellers. On Aug. 5, 1972, she married Carl F. Nickel, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of Warsaw Elks Lodge. She was a cook for many years.
Surviving are a niece Patty Nash, Warsaw; and a nephew, Robert Randal, Warsaw. She also was preceded in death by two sisters.
