Mary Elizabeth ‘Mary Beth’ GravesMary Elizabeth “Mary Beth” Graves 78, of Warsaw, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022, in her home.
Born on March 10, 1944, in Peoria, Ill., Mary Beth was the daughter of Daniel A. and Mary E. Mulvaney Fetgatter. She was united in marriage to Edward Graves on Nov. 26, 1966, in Elmwood, Ill.
After graduating from high school, she continued her education at Western Illinois University, obtaining her BSE degree in 1967. She formerly worked as a receptionist and was also a substitute teacher. Mary Beth loved her dogs and she enjoyed reading. She was known to be a ruthless scrabble and Jeopardy player. She was a Delta Zeta Sorority member, as well as a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, where she sang in the choir.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Ed Graves, of Warsaw; daughter, Shannon E. Giles; son, Eric V. Graves; grandchildren, Meredith S. Giles, Katlyn Giles (Carver) Melton and Taylor Graves; great-grandson, Ezra C. Melton; brother, Walter (JoAnna) Fetgatter, of Avon Lake, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Karen Fetgatter. She was preceded in passing by both parents and a brother, Daniel A. (Karen) Fetgatter.
Burial will be at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Elmwood, Ill.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, have been entrusted with arrangements for the family.
