Mary Elizabeth ‘Libby’ Zolman

Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Zolman, of Warsaw, passed away at 8:22 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, at Lake City Place of Warsaw at the age of 94.

She was born on Jan. 17, 1924, in Hemingway, S.C., to Minnie E. Britton Ivey and Willie A. Ivey. On June 4, 1944, she was married to Devon Eugene Zolman. They shared 61 years of marriage before he passed away on Nov. 12, 2005.  

Libby was a resident of Kosciusko County since 1944. She graduated from International Business College in North Carolina and worked at Zimmer Inc. in Warsaw for 20 years as an international secretary.

She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Don (Darci) Zolman, Pierceton; daughter, Elaine (Lavon) Wood, Pierceton; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind her brother, Wilbur D. Ivey, Hemingway; and sister, Wilhelmina Leach, Hartsville, S.C.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, D. Eugene Zolman; son, Fred Zolman; daughter, Linda Kunce; grandson, Craig Kunce; and three sisters: Louise Moore, Emily Harris and Frances Player.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Kevin Ousley. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Warsaw.  

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home. There will also be viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, an hour prior to the service.
