ETNA GREEN – Mary E. Watkins, 93, Etna Green, died at 8:48 a.m. Oct. 16, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. 
She was born Jan. 25, 1923, in Bremen, to Franklin and Eva Kring Slabaugh. On Sept. 15, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio, she married Dale E. Watkins, who preceded her in death Sept. 30, 2012.
She was a Bremen High School graduate and graduated from Fort Wayne Bible College.   She lived her lifetime in this area. 
She worked at Fairmont Homes in the payroll department for many years, prior to working at Mutschler Kitchens. She was a member of Nappanee Missionary Church and former member of Hepton Union Church. She enjoyed working in the lawn and with her flowers. She loved her family and was an awesome grandmother, always praying for her grandsons, who are both policemen. 
Surviving are her son, Greg (and spouse Lisa) Watkins, Etna Green; grandchildren, Stephen (and spouse Rachel) Watkins, Syracuse, N.Y., and Bryan (and spouse Katie) Watkins, Granger; and great-grandchildren, Liam and Mackenna Watkins. She was preceded by her brothers, Herman, Wilson and George Slabaugh; and sisters, Lola Hahn, Mona Lou Heckaman, Kate Christner and Dorothy Klotzbach.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Nappanee Missionary Church. Burial will follow at Hepton Union Cemetery. 
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
