DEMING, N.M. – Mary E. Linn, 78, Deming, N.M., passed away Nov. 10, 2015, at Mimbres Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 12, 1937, in Warsaw, to James Y. and Floie C. Henderson Heaton, Winona Lake. On Aug. 27, 1954, in South Bend, she married Larry E. Linn, who survives. She worked for Elkhart Community Schools for 30 years before retiring to the warmth and sunshine of Deming. She loved her family and enjoyed life with amazing strength and unwavering devotion. Also surviving are four children: Katherine (and spouse Timothy) Gavin, Phillip (and spouse Patricia) Linn and Robert Linn, all of Elkhart, and Mary Michaud, Mishawaka; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ted and John Heaton, both of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James C. Heaton; and two sisters, Nancy Stouder and Lucy Edgar. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mountain View Cemetery, Deming, with Pastor Greg Burchfield officiating.
