Mary E. Leedy, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 11 a.m. Dec. 20, 2011, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born Aug. 9, 1924, in Bonanza, Ky., to Manuel and Lillie Mae Mann Spradlin, who preceded her in death.
A Kosciusko County residence since 1974, she resided in Warsaw, Claypool and Etna Green. She enjoyed being a homemaker and living on the farm. She was a member of Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, Silver Lake, where she was a long-term Sunday school teacher of the teens. She was affiliated with the Warsaw Family Worship Center, Warsaw.
Surviving are a husband, Ernest Leedy, Etna Green; a daughter, Ernestine Shepherd, Claypool; a son, Kelly Leedy, Etna Green; a son-in-law, Monroe “Buddy” Shepherd, Claypool; a granddaughter, Teresa (and spouse Dennis) Crews, Silver Lake; great-grandchildren, Darrell (and spouse Cora) Ellis, Anderson, and Donna (and spouse John) Swanson, Columbus. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Spradlin, and two sisters, Kathryn Griffith and Bea McIntosh.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Pastor William Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Center Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home. ***** Memorials may be made to the Kosciusko County Right to Life.
