NAPPANEE - Mary Diener, 97, of 1433 McCormick Drive, Nappanee, died at 7 a.m. Oct. 26, 2008, in her residence.
She was born March 13, 1911, in Holmes County, Ohio, to Dan and Barbara Miller Yoder. On Aug. 23, 1942, in Sugar Creek, Ohio, she married Amos A. Diener, who died May 27, 2004.
She lived most of her life in Sarasota (Pinecraft), Fla., moving to Nappanee in 1970. She was a homemaker and a member of Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Ida Gingerich and Esther Diener, both of Nappanee, and Katherine (and spouse Eli) Stutzman, Bremen; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Martha Frey, Walnut Creek, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a grandson and three sisters.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Ron Miller residence, 8919 W. CR 1350N, Nappanee, with Home Ministry officiating. Burial will be in Weldy Cemetery, Nappanee.
Calling is after 4 p.m. today and all day Tuesday at the Ron Miller residence.
