ALBION – Mary C. Ulrey, 102, died May 31, 2011, at Greencroft Nursing Home in Goshen.
She was born June 24, 1908, in Silver Lake, to Norman and Nellie Creachbaum Tucker. She married John A. Ulrey, who preceded her in death.
She lived most of her life in Ligonier, where she and her husband owned the Ulrey Funeral Home from 1941 to 1983 when it became Ulrey-Renner Funeral Home, purchased by John and Judy Renner. She was a member of the Ligonier United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Prentiss Chapter.
Surviving are six grandchildren, including Mary Lou (and spouse Michael) Gavin, Warsaw; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ligonier United Methodist Church with Pastor Byron Kaiser officiating. An Order of Eastern Star service will be conducted prior to the funeral by the OES Prentiss Chapter. Burial will be at Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier.
Calling is one hour prior to the service at the church.
The Brazzell Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
