ANDERSON – Mary C. McCleary Velie, 77, of Anderson, passed away Oct. 23, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Anderson.
She was born April 30, 1935, in Warsaw, to Weldon and Eva Laughlin McCleary. She married Norman Velie, who preceded her in death.
She resided most of her life in Anderson. She graduated from Leesburg High School and retired from CEO Cleaning.
Surviving are her children: Kandy (and spouse Fred) Wainscott, Anderson; Kathy (and spouse Scott) Devoe, Muncie; and Kobey Lyons, Platsmouth, Neb.; seven grandchildren: Edith, Don, Marcus, Freddie, Matt, Riley and Aaron; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Kristy Martin.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Pastor Aaron Wainscott officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
