Mary Belle Hurt, 79, of 600 N. Colfax St., Warsaw, died at 4 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born May 3, 1930, in Van Lear, Ky., to Lonza and Lucy Roberts Blevins. On July 27, 1949, in Van Buren, Mich., she married Hershel Hurt, who preceded her in death on June 1, 1977.
She lived in Kosciusko County since 1964, moving from Columbus, Ohio. She worked for Warsaw Coil and Johnson Electronics.
Survivors include three sons: Jack Hurt (and fiance Janet Best), Warsaw; Robert (and spouse Rhonda) Hurt, Rochester; Junior (and spouse Sue) Hurt, Atwood; three daughters: Sue (and spouse John) Caldwell, Lagrange; Angie (and spouse Terry) Weirick and Shirley (and spouse Randy) Johnson, all of Warsaw; seven sisters: Ella Blair, Warsaw; Marie (and spouse Don) Wallen, Winona Lake; Bonnie Crabtree, Betty Foster, Susie Blevins, Judy Blevins, all of Jackson, Ohio; and Ruth Reynolds, Van Lear; a brother, James Blevins, Jackson, Ohio; 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lora, and two brothers, Albert Blevins and Lonza Blevins Jr.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with the Rev. Gale Janofski, Warsaw Wesleyan Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
