ELKHART – Mary B. Ponko, 91, of Auburn, died at 7:20 a.m. Feb. 1, 2013, in Betz Nursing Home, Auburn. She was born Sept. 9, 1921, in Terre Haute, to John Moxin and Mary Jarenko. On Nov. 30, 1946, she married William Ponko Jr., who died Nov. 14, 1993. She lived in Elkhart for 46 years. Surviving are two daughters, Rose Ann (and spouse Rex) Kidder, Gresham, Ore., and Anne Ponko, Chico, Calif.; three sons: William B. (and spouse Deborah) Ponko, Warsaw; John (and spouse Susan) Ponko, Auburn; and Larry (and spouse Karen) Ponko, Elkhart; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home, Elkhart. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.
