ELKHART - Mary Ann Mackey, 79, of Elkhart, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Feb. 14, 2010, in Eastlake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Elkhart.
She was born April 25, 1930, in Monroe, Mich., to Frederick G. and Mary G. Fitzpatrick Bennett. On May 16, 1953, in Monroe, Mich., she married Richard D. Mackey, who survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, Bristol; the Red Hat Society; Purdue Extension Club; and the Funtimers. She also enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, music and the theater.
Also surviving are a son, Daniel Mackey, Hartsell, Ala.; four daughters: Carol (and spouse Kim) Hochstetler, Bremen; Marsha Mackey of Rosebush, Mich.; Patty Jo (and spouse Barry) Harvey, Scottsdale, Ariz.; and Kathleen (and spouse Randy) Styborski, Spokane, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 411 W. Vistula St., Bristol, with the Rev. Robert VanKempen officiating. At her request, cremation will occur.
Calling is from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, and one hour prior to the service Saturday the church. A rosary service will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
