BOURBON- Marvin E. Young, 92, of 12787 Elm Road, Bourbon, died July 31, 2009, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
He was born Sept. 13, 1916, in Bourbon, to Chester and Leah Parsons Young. On March 2, 1941, he married Eleanor R. Woodcock, who survives.
A lifetime Bourbon area resident, he was a retired farmer and still active as he could be on the farm helping. He was a graduate of Tippecanoe High School.
Also surviving are three sons, Kent Ellsworth (and spouse Diane) Young, Beaufort, S.C.; Dennis Lee (and spouse Nina) Young; and Rex Alan (and spouse Judy) Young, all of Bourbon; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter and a brother.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, Bourbon. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
