SYRACUSE - Marvin Abrell, 88, of Leesburg, died July 17, 2010, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born Sept. 14, 1921, in Muncie, to Homer and Ruby Moody Abrell. He was married to Barbara Patton Abrell for 67 years. She survives.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran with the 80th Infantry Division. He was a general contractor for many years, specializing in remodeling. He was a 50-year Mason and a member of Cromwell Lodge.

Also surviving are a son, Michael (and spouse Linda) Abrell, Yorktown; two grandchildren, Brian (and spouse Kami) Abrell, Pendelton, and Michelle (and spouse Justin) Cupp, Muncie; a great-grandson, Owen Cupp; a brother, Max (and spouse Linda) Abrell, Muncie; two sisters, Barbara Jo (and spouse Phil) Boyd and Viola Walls, all of Muncie; and a special thank you from the family to his nephew Ed (and spouse Mary Lou) Griffith, for all of his help.

A memorial service will be at a later date.
