Marty, Relay Team Move On In State Meet

INDIANAPOLIS - Wawasee's Jenny Marty placed 16th in the 100 butterfly and helped the 200 freestyle relay team onto the second day of action at the state swimming meet Friday.

Marty's time of 1:00.20 was just quick enough to take the final available spot into today's consolation round.

Also, Wawasee's 200 freestyle relay team of Marty, Kristi Martin, Laura Lundin and Laura Karns advanced to the second day of action with a 13th place finish.

The finals of the state meet will take place today at 1 p.m.
