Martin's Super Markets has announced plans to build a new store in Warsaw.
The new Martin's will be located at 1150 Husky Trail, just north of the Menard's on the northwest side of the city.
Construction of the store is expected to begin this spring with a fall opening planned."We've been working with Warsaw officials in an effort to make this store a reality, and we're pleased to say we're ready to start," said Rob Bartels, Martin's Super Markets president and CEO.
"The Warsaw community is a vibrant, growing home for residents and businesses alike, and we look forward to becoming a contributing member of the community from the very start."
Warsaw Mayor Ernie Wiggins said he is pleased that Martin's Super Markets has chosen to make a significant investment in the community.
"Based upon Martin's reputation of providing the highest quality products and service, we look forward with great anticipation to the new store opening this fall," Wiggins said.
At more than 63,000 square feet in size, the new Warsaw Martin's will offer shoppers the features that long-time customers have come to appreciate, as well as several services which will be unique to the Warsaw store.
Energy-friendly building design and equipment specification will be employed throughout the store.
The new Martin's will feature comprehensive grocery and non-foods departments, and offer the full range of unique products and services Martin's shoppers have come to expect.
The new store will also feature wide selections of natural and organic products, with emphasis on variety, quality and selection in the perishable departments.

Martin's Super Markets was founded in 1947 and currently has 20 stores in South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger, Elkhart, Goshen, Plymouth, Nappanee and Logansport, Niles, Stevensville and St. Joseph, Mich.
