WINONA LAKE – The 25th annual Martin Luther King Jr. program is Monday at the Orthopaedic Capital Center in Winona Lake. The program is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be presented by The Committee To Commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. There will be a luncheon, and attendees will be looking back to the origin of the committee. The committee also will review and highlight some of the programs and entertainment presented during the past 25 years. Featured entertainment will be Marshall White and the World Champion Voices of Unity, Fort Wayne; youth from New Life Church, Warsaw; Dr. JB Pressey, former president of the Martin Luther King Committee, Fort Wayne; and Barbara Blevins, gospel group Blevin Sisters member. The “Academic Excellence Award” will be presented and each recipient will receive $1,000.
