Marti J. Dahlquist, of Boston, Mass., passed away unexpectedly of medical issues on Monday, April 29, 2024, at the age of 53.
She was born on Feb. 25, 1971, in Dallas, Texas, to her loving parents, Dick and Janice Dahlquist. Marti was a beloved daughter, sister and aunt.
Marti graduated from Lakeland Christian Academy in 1989, received her Bachelor of Science from Grace College, 1996, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University, Boston, 2017. Marti served as youth leader for almost a decade at Fellowship Baptist Church while working at Eisenbrauns for almost 20 years. She pursued her dream vocation of being a nurse when she moved to Boston. Her most recent position was Hospice Nurse, which was as an outlet for her God-given passion to care for people.
Marti is survived by her parents; her sister, Jami (Jake) Murray, Indianapolis; along with her nephew, Colby and niece Katlyn. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Marti's life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 4 p.m. on Monday, May 6 at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, 1200 Kings Highway, Winona Lake, and officiated by Pastor Bruce Barlow. Friends and family may visit an hour prior to the service from 3 to 4 p.m.
