BLUFFTON – Martha R. Bailey, 88, a former Bluffton resident, passed away at 12:10 p.m. March 21, 2015, at Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake. She was born Feb. 18, 1927, in Bluffton, to Homer and Dorothy C. Williams Swagart. On Dec. 1, 1945, in Bluffton, she married George L. Bailey, who survives in Winona Lake. She graduated from Chester Center High School and was a homemaker. Also surviving are a son, Robert A. (and spouse Barbara) Bailey, Queen Creek, Ariz.; a daughter, Lu Ann (and spouse Ed) Christoffel, Warsaw; six grandchildren: Jeremiah Bailey; John (and spouse Crystal) Wilenski, Orlando, Fla.; Jeff Wilenski, Fort Wayne; Mary Beth Miller, Ossian; Chad (and spouse Cristina) and Nathan (and spouse Amy) Christoffel, both of Pierceton. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Brown and Peggy Reaser. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home, Bluffton, with Pastor Gary Aupperle officiating.
