Martha McCord, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away at 12:52 a.m. Aug. 27, 2012, in Community North Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born April 27, 1934, in Branden, Miss., to Roy and Nettie Fallin Hatten.
She resided in Warsaw and Muncie, before moving to Indianapolis 30 years ago. She was a manager of a restaurant in Indianapolis.
Surviving are two sons, Terry (and spouse Dee) Downhour, Indianapolis, and Lawrence Downhour, Texas; three sisters, Margaret Ward, Betty Sult and Marie Coblentz, all of Warsaw; a brother, Alten Hatten, Washington state; two granddaughters, three grandsons and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Ruth Murphy, Kathleen Kirkendall and Karleen Fingerle.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Pastor David Cripe officiating.
