Martha “Marty” Stapleton, 94, died July 18, 2025, in the care of Grace Village Assisted Living in Winona Lake.
She was born Feb. 11, 1931, in Cadiz, Ohio, to James Mitchell and Ruth Adams Mitchell. She married William “Bill” on April 28, 1951; he died in 2015.
Martha’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service Wednesday, July 30 at 2 p.m. in the Grace Village Assisted Living Activities Room, 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, conducted by Grace Village Chaplain Bryan Benjamin with a reception to follow. Friends and family, along with residents and staff of Grace Village, are invited to attend both the service and reception.
Interment will be at a future date at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland, Ohio. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
