Martha “Joanne” Rowe, 72, Silver Lake, went home to be with her Lord with her family by her side at 5:35 p.m. June 8, 2014, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. She was born Oct. 28, 1941, in Warsaw, to Bert and Martha Burgess Hyde. On Sept. 10, 1959, in Jellico, Tenn., she married Clell Rowe, who survives in Silver Lake. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where she was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Claypool, and a real prayer partner. She was a 1959 graduate of Warsaw High School, after which she worked as a supervisor for Blue Bell, then at DaLite Screen, both in Warsaw, for 12 years. In 1990 she began working for Zimmer Inc., Warsaw, until her retirement. She was a NASCAR enthusiast, enjoyed gardening, puzzles and playing cards with her family. She will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. She had a gentle loving and giving heart and spirit. Everyone who met her was instantly drawn to her sparkling personality and kindness. “We will always love and miss you Honey, Mom and Nana.” She will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters: Brenda Rowe, Franklin, Tenn.; Judy Rowe (and fiancé Scott Davis), Elkhart; Teresa (and spouse Fred) Parsons, Fort Wayne; a son: Tony (and spouse Lisa) Rowe, Claypool; and a granddaughter, Brittany Rowe, Silver Lake; three sisters: Donna Prater, Warsaw; Esther (and spouse Carl) Clevenger, Leesburg; Jo Ellen Senff, Syracuse; and her brother, Jerry Hyde, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Eddie Hyde, who died in 1987. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Free Will Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, CR 700S and County Farm Road, Claypool, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial and graveside services will follow at Lake View Cemetery, Silver Lake.
