MADISON, Wis. - Martha Carr Stolen passed away Nov. 16, 2010, at Capitol Lakes Health Center in Madison, Wis.

She was born June, 7, 1922, in Silver Lake, to Ernest and Fern Carr. On Aug. 6, 1944, she married Lt. Andy Stolen after his return from 59 bombing combat missions in Europe. After graduating from Silver Lake High School, she worked at General Electric in Fort Wayne. Her and her husband moved to Madison in 1945.

She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Worl, Pat (and spouse Dave) Carlson and Nancy Best, all of the Madison area; two grandchildren, Tammy Worl, Chicago, and Dustin Best, San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Janet (and Layne) Warren, Warsaw; nephews, the Rev. Jim (and spouse Kathy) MacDonald and Jack (and spouse Kerri) Warren; and nieces, Jill (and spouse Joe) Thallemer; and Judi Warren, Carmel. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Kathryn MacDonald.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Gunderson East Funeral Home, 5303 Monona Drive, Monona, Wis.
