SYRACUSE - Martha A. Hepler, 73, of 206 E. Pickwick Drive, Syracuse, died at 3:52 a.m. Oct. 14, 2008, in Goshen General Hospital.
She was born June 29, 1935, in Wabash, to Robert and Augusta Grimes Fordyce. On Feb. 13, 1960, she married Robert W. Hepler, who survives.
Moving to Syracuse from Warsaw in 1960, she was a clerk at Pamida Dept. Store, retiring in 1999, and formerly attended North Webster Church of God.
Also surviving are four daughters: Bobbi (and spouse Robert) Schiffer, Tallahassee, Fla.; Jo and Julie Hepler, both of Syracuse; and Lori (and spouse Dan) Schmatz, Mishawaka; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Connie Mock. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
