NAPPANEE – Marshall Ray Ralston, 80, of Elkhart, and formerly of Nappanee, died unexpectedly of natural causes April 9, 2012, in his residence.

He was born April 22, 1931, in Etna Green, to Orval and Ethel Hamman Ralston.

A lifetime Nappanee/Elkhart area resident, he was a Nappanee High School graduate and a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany with the military police. He worked in sales in the recreational vehicle industry most of his life and worked at Duo-Therm, LaGrange, for many years. He attended First Church of God, Goshen, where he served as head usher.

Surviving are two daughters, Lori (and spouse Jeff) Stewart, Elkhart, and Diana (and spouse Gary) Selvey, Muncie; a son, Dennis (and spouse Laura) Ralston, Elkhart; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Beverly (and spouse Chuck) Ritter and Norma Freed, all of Nappanee.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with the Rev. Sam Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery with military graveside services by members of Nappanee American Legion.

Calling is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
