Maroon 5, Train Coming To Indiana State Fair Aug. 18

INDIANAPOLIS – Pop music juggernauts Maroon 5 and Train have turned out one hit after another over the last 10 years.
Aug. 18, both groups will hit the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand at the Indiana State Fair for a double-bill of music. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.
Not many bands achieve the kind of debut success Maroon 5 had with its album “Songs About Jane,” which went platinum and spawned four hit singles, including “Harder to Breathe,” “This Love,” “She Will Be Loved” and “Sunday Morning.” The group followed that up with two more albums and four more hit singles while collecting a couple of Grammy awards along the way.
Train is another California-based band that has reached the heights of the music world with hits that include “Meet Virginia,” “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)” and “Calling All Angels.” More recently, the three-time Grammy award winners hit it big with “Marry Me,” “If It’s Love” and “Hey, Soul Sister.”Tickets are $55, $45 and $35 and include State Fair admission. They go on sale April 15 at 10 a.m. at the State Fairgrounds Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations. They can also be purchased through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com
