NORTH MANCHESTER - Mark W. Shenefield, 65, of North Manchester, died at 12:38 p.m. Sept. 17, 2008, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Jan. 4, 1943, in Huntington County, to Richard E. and Loretta Peterson Shenefield. On July 16, 1966, he married Nancy Frieden, who survives.
He worked at Strauss & Co. Elevator, Silver Lake; BKB Manufacturing, North Manchester; and Wabash Valley Manufacturing, Silver Lake, since September 1995. He served in the Indiana National Guard from 1963-69, and was a 1962 Huntington High School graduate.
Also surviving are a son, Mitchell (and spouse Bonnie) Shenefield, North Manchester; a daughter, Anna (and spouse Tom) Ganz, Ellettsville; four brothers, Richard, Maurice and Samuel Shenefield, all of Huntington, and Ray Shenefield, Springfield, Fla.; two sisters, Nancy Coverstone, Huntington, and Madge (and spouse Larry) Rogers, Seymour; five grandchildren, Zachary and Jonah Shenefield, both of North Manchester, and Jacob, Nathaniel and Kathryn Ganz, all of Ellettsville; and two godchildren, Marjae Cashdollar, Fort Wayne, and James O'Brien, Bloomington. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Larry Stoppenhagen officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
