NORTH MANCHESTER – Mark W. Metzger, 67, of North Manchester, died at 12:29 a.m. Nov. 30, 2011, in Parkview Huntington Hospital.
He was born Oct. 29, 1944, in Wabash County, to Orville E. and Mae E. Niccum Metzger.
He was a lifetime North Manchester area farmer, an auctioneer with Mark Metzger Auctioneering, North Manchester, and Halderman Real Estate, Wabash. He was a member of the Indiana Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Association.
Surviving are two sons, Rodney (and spouse Ruby) Metzger, Huntington, and Chad (and spouse Alexandria) Metzger, North Manchester; three daughters: Rainelle (and spouse Tony) Shockome, Columbia City; Jennifer Wehr, Huntington; and Kerri (and spouse Aaron) Hilbers, Indianapolis; three brothers, Leon (and spouse Agatha) Metzger and Wilmer (and spouse Janet) Metzger, all of North Manchester, and Max (and spouse Irene) Metzger, Silver Lake; two sisters, Esther (and spouse Billie) Blocher and Leona (and spouse Ernest) Acord, all of North Manchester; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Larry Cripe and Richard Brovont officiating. Burial will be in Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery, North Manchester.
