LIGONIER – Mark Steven Cowles, age 61, of North Webster, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020. He was the son of Tom Cowles and Sandra J. Cowles Spillman in Elkhart. Mark attended Elkhart Memorial High School and was a tree trimmer and landscaper for many years. He loved animals, especially his cat, Spooky. Mark also enjoyed fishing, mechanics and mushroom hunting. He is survived by his parents, Sandra J. (Charles L.) Spillman, of Leesburg; and Tom (Diane) Cowles, of North Port, Fla.; two sisters: Cheryl (Donald) Templeton, of North Port, Fla.; and Lisa (Scott) Snyder, of South Bend; along with stepsister, Barbra Cowles; and nephews, Ryan, Steve and Matt. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his beloved dog, Tasha. A cremation committal will take place. The family will host a celebration of Mark’s life at a later date.
