MANSFIELD, Ohio – Mark E. Haymaker, 59, of Ontario, died  Oct. 27, 2011, in University Hospitals,  Cleveland.
He was born July 22, 1952, in Madison, Ind., to C. Edward and Gertrude Tague Haymaker. He married Debra Martin, who preceded him in death. His second wife, Holly Frost Haymaker, survives in Ontario.
A veteran of the U.S. Marines, he retired from Embarq and currently worked at Securitas Securities. He loved to travel but most of all spend time with his family and grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sons, Andrew (and spouse Holly) Haymaker, Plano, Texas, and Adam (and spouse Jennifer) Haymaker, Mansfield; stepchildren: Christopher (and spouse Gayle) Peters, Mountain Home AFB, Idaho; Randall (and spouse Julie) Peters, Brunswick; and Mary Peters (and Brian Bowman) and Kathryn Peters, all of Mansfield; grandchildren: A.J. and Gregory Haymaker; Bryan, Evan and Aaron Peters; Shayla and Caleb Bowman; and Cameron and Aliyah Carns; his mother, Gertrude Haymaker, Franklin; a sister, Kathy Evans, Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. He also was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario, with Deering Dyer officiating and with military services by Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Squad. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
