Mark C. Strong, 91, Crete, Ill., and formerly of Warsaw, passed away March 1, 2014. He was born to Dayton and Florence Wasson Strong. He was married to Wilma Brooner, who preceded him in death. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are his two loving children, Rita (and spouse Michael) Hintz and Wayne Strong; four beloved grandchildren: Andrea Hintz, Christin (and spouse Jeremy) Groh, Adam (and spouse Michelle) Strong and Jodie (and spouse Sean) Collins; two cherished great-grandchildren, Cole and Stella Strong. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Gerald Strong; two sisters, Mary Folta and Helen Teboda; his parents; and an infant child. Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, Ill. Burial is private.
