Mark Anthony Regenos, 54, of Warsaw, died at 4:15 p.m. Nov. 18, 2011, in his residence, after fighting cancer for many years.
He was born Nov. 29, 1956, in Warsaw, to Lowell Gene and Barbara Jean LaRue Regenos. On Nov. 4, 2011, in Warsaw, he married Connie Shilvey, who survives.
A lifetime Warsaw resident, he was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and worked in construction until becoming disabled. He attended Warsaw High School. He loved life in general, especially his twin grandchildren, fishing and being out in nature. He enjoyed studying history.
Also surviving are a daughter, Ashley Regenos, Silver Lake; four sisters: LeAnna Regenos, Muscatine, Iowa; Lesa Regenos, Warsaw; Nila Broerman, Columbia City; and Lisa Martin, Berne; seven grandchildren: Abigail, Aubrey, Matthew, Jacob, Appel, Kylie and Kendall; a brother, Donald “Stuart” Gerding, Warsaw; three stepsons: Grant (and spouse Leslie) Feeny, Fort Campbell, Ky.; Derrick Feeny, Warsaw; and Trent Feeny, Cromwell; and a stepdaughter, Heather (and spouse Brian) Knoop, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his father, Lowell G. Regenos, who died Nov. 13, 1977; his mother, Barbara J. Clemont, who died Sept. 27, 1987; and a sister, Tracy Holmes, who died Sept. 26, 2008.
A memorial service will be at a later date officiated by Pastor Dennis Bollenbacher, chaplain at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center.
No calling is planned.
