Marjorie “Margie” A. Sheets, 65, of Leesburg, died at 1:07 a.m. Jan. 8, 2012, in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.
She was born May 24, 1946, in Whitley County, to Garland M. and Evelyn Rachael Cramer Herron.
Moving to Leesburg from Columbia City 14 years ago, she was a caregiver with Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice Warsaw, for six years; Magnavox, Columbia City; and Memcor Inc., Huntington. She was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church, Columbia City. She was a grandma who loved the Lord. She was always smiling and jolly, keeping her sense of humor until the end of her life. Instead of “hello,” her telephone greeting was, “Praise the Lord.” The nursing staff considered her a joy to care for.
Surviving are her mother, Evelyn Herron, Columbia City; two daughters, Annette (and spouse Bruce) Woodling, Wabash, and Kimberly Gibson, Columbia City; a son, David Sheets, Claypool; two sisters, Marilyn (and spouse Phil) Hively, Columbia City, and Patricia Hull, Warsaw; two brothers, Argyle (and spouse Linda) Herron, Pierceton, and Gale (and spouse Amy) Herron, Columbia City; six grandchildren: Alizabeth, Samuel and Daniel Woodling, all of Wabash; Tasha (and spouse Tavo) Bautista, Milford; and Joshwa and Gordon “Jason” Gibson, both of Perham, Minn.; and two great-grandchildren, Whitney and Ethan. She was preceded in death by her father, Garland M. Herron.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Marilyn Smith, Marion. Burial will be in South Park Cemetery, Columbia City.
