SYRACUSE – Marjorie J. “Marge” Baumgartner, 88, Syracuse, passed away at 5 p.m. Sept. 15, 2014, at Lakeland Rehab & Healthcare, Milford. She was born March 28, 1926, in Auburn, to Harry J. and Leona Webster Miller. She graduated in 1944 from Auburn High School and lived most of her life in the Syracuse area except for about 15 years in Oregon. She was formerly a waitress for several area restaurants, worked at Sharp Hardware in Milford and was a licensed beautician in Syracuse for five years. She formerly attended the United Methodist Church, Milford. Surviving are a daughter, Judy (and spouse Dennis) Sharp, Milford; two sons, Jack and Michael Baumgartner, both of Syracuse; a granddaughter, Margie Parker-Slusser; two great-grandchildren, Cassidy Parker and Kai Slusser; and a brother, Paul Miller, Inverness, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Richard Miller. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 28 during the regular church service at the United Methodist Church, Catherine and West streets, Milford, with Pastor Rob Nelson of the church officiating.
