BOURBON - Marjorie I. Lewallen, 93, of 18557 East St., Tippecanoe, died at 11 p.m. May 17, 2009, in her residence.

She was born Aug. 27, 1915, in Tippecanoe, from James Earl and Glendolyn Dipert Sanner. On Sept. 7, 1940, she married Charles E. "Red" Lewallen, who died Feb. 19, 2009.

She formerly worked at Da-Lite Screen, Warsaw, and was a graduate of Tippecanoe High School with a class of 17 in 1933, which she was salutatorian. She spent many winters in the Bonita Springs, Fla. She was a member of Riverview Community Church, Tippecanoe.

Surviving are three sons: Larry K. (and spouse Nancy), Southmont, N.C.; Charles E. (and souse Carol A.), Plymouth; and Phillip (and spouse Christine M.), Bonita Springs, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eight sisters and brothers.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, Bourbon, with Pastor Rod Ruberg officiating. Burial will be in Tippecanoe Cemetery.
