Marjorie Grace Neville, 87, of Warsaw, died Nov. 20, 2011, in Gardens of Lake City, Warsaw.
She was born Aug. 28, 1924, in Chicago, Ill., to Newton and Marjorie Thon. On May 27, 1950, she married Edward R. Neville, who survives.
She was very active in the community. In the early ‘60s she was instrumental in starting the YMCA. She was involved in Lakeland Community Concerts for several years as a campaign chairman. She worked 10 years for Conway Diet Institute as a regional director overseeing approximately 50 classes in northeast Indiana. She was an avid amateur golfer and won several club championships at Rozella and Stonehenge Golf Courses in the Women’s 18 Hole League. In July of 1988 she shot a hole-in-one on number 5 at Rozella. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Also surviving are three children, Douglas (and spouse Kim), Warsaw; Richard (and spouse Janet), Eden Prairie, Minn., and Lori Neville, Winona Lake; and four grandchildren: Eric, Melissa, Stuart and Meredith.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Pastor Stuart Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, and one hour before services at the church.
