ARGOS - Marjorie Elizabeth McDonald Garland, 84, of 212 W. Walnut St., Argos, died at 10:58 a.m. Feb. 3, 2008, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, following a brief illness.

She was born March 21, 1923, in Ober, to Dewey and Mary Ransbottom McDonald. On Aug. 24, 1940, in Plymouth, she married Kenneth A. Garland, who survives.

Living in Tippecanoe for nearly 40 years, she moved to Argos in 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of Whippoorwill Ladies Club and Foster Rebekah Lodge, Tippecanoe. She attended Walnut Church of the Brethren, Argos.

Also surviving are two daughters, Carolyn (and spouse Joseph) Clingenpeel, Warsaw, and Nancy (and spouse Gary) Kinsey, Tippecanoe; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry McDonald, Kerrville, Texas. She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, three sisters and a brother.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, with the Rev. Robert Rice officiating. Burial will be in Burr Oak Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
