NORTH WEBSTER – Marjorie A. “Anne” Sickmiller, 84, Leesburg, passed away at 9:05 p.m. March 25, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born Aug. 12, 1929, in Wabash to Walter Porter and Mabel Agnes Yopst Schlemmer. In 1986 she married Earl Sickmiller, who died in 2002. She graduated in 1947 from Wabash High School and attended the School of Arts in Chicago, Ill. She retired in 1993 from U.S. Gypsum Company in Wabash after 14 years of service, and formerly worked at Data Vue in Wabash, Wabash License Branch and as a trustee clerk in Wabash. After retirement she moved to the Leesburg area in 1994. She was a member of the Wabash Christian Church and the Delta Theta Tau Sorority. She also served as secretary of the Lake Tippecanoe Property Owners Association. Surviving are two daughters, Holly LaSalle, O’Fallon, Ill., and Julie (and spouse Art) Reimer, Leesburg; a son, Gary (and spouse Lynn) Hartman, Russiaville; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (and spouse Babara) Schlemmer, Venice, Fla. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Jean Craft and Lucille Christiansen, and companion, Jim Chapman.
