Marion “Ralph” Montel, of Warsaw, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the age of 91. His life was a testament to his faith, whether tending his fields or caring for his family, his every action was guided by a deep devotion to the Lord. A dedicated farmer his entire life, he has found his rest and his family will forever love and cherish the memory of a good man, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
A lifelong resident of Kosciusko County, Ralph was born in Silver Lake on Oct. 10, 1934, to Ralph and Oznola Viola Freed Montel. A 1952 graduate of Silver Lake High School, he married the love of his life, Margaret Lucille Lewis, on Sept. 24, 1954. Together, they shared nearly 72 years of marriage and a lifetime of cherished memories.

Upon returning home, he settled back into the life he loved, divided simply between farming and his family. Throughout his years, he also lent his talents to DePuy, United Telephone, and Markson Products.
