COLUMBIA CITY - Marilyn Sue Coy, 60, of South Whitley, died July 29, 2008, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
She was born Oct. 24, 1947, in Madison, to Charles Rae and Rosalie Charlotte Scroggin Warner. On Sept. 30, 1966, in Vevay, she married Wilfred E. Coy, who survives.
She was a 1965 Vevay High School graduate and moved to South Whitley in 1988. She worked at Dana Coupling, Columbia City, since Feb. 17, 1992, and formerly worked at US Shoe Factory, Vevay, for 16 years, and Indiana Knit Wear, Columbia City. She was a member of Eagles Auxiliary 1906, Columbia City; UAW 2049; and Centerview Community Church.
Also surviving are three daughters, Jill Susan Coy, Fort Wayne, and Lee Ann Cicero and Jade Starr Lopez, both of South Whitley; her mother, Rosalie C. Warner, Fort Wayne; three grandchildren; six sisters: Carolyn Ann Ruter, Cincinnati, Ohio; Barbara Rae (and spouse Donnie Wayne) Scudder, Vevay; Greta Lee (and spouse Patrick) Connell, Los Angeles, Calif.; Joetta Cheryl (and spouse Dan) Drobek, Leo; Becky Ruth Ross, Columbia City; and Harriett O. (and spouse Donald) Hathaway, North Manchester; and two brothers, Charles Noel (and spouse Denise) Warner, Arcola, and Paul Thomas Sr. (and spouse Nikki) Warner, Sunman. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City, with Pastor Roy Blake officiating. A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Vevay Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
