SYRACUSE – Marilyn M. Bartman, 63, Syracuse, passed away at 1:56 a.m. April 28, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne. She was born May 3, 1951, in Goshen, to Ralph “Frank” and Sue A. Whetten Hoover. On Jan. 10, 1970, in Nappanee, she married Joe Bill Bartman, who preceded her in death Feb. 3, 2013. She was a lifetime Syracuse area resident and attended Syracuse High School. She retired from Dana Corp., Syracuse, after several years of service. She is survived by three daughters: Brandy Jo Ward and Bambi Jo Stuckman, both of Syracuse, and Brendy Jo (and spouse Robert) Weldy, Wawaka; a son, Robert Vern “Bobby” Bartman, Warsaw; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandson; three sisters: Faye (and spouse Ronald) Church, New Paris; Jacqueline Blosser, Bronson, Fla.; Janice Wood, Syracuse; and a brother, William “Bill” (and spouse Norma) Hoover, Elkhart. She also was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, with Pastor Pat Park of Wawasee Heights Baptist Church officiating. Burial is in South Union Cemetery, Nappanee.
