MILFORD - Marilyn L. Wuthrich, 73, of Nappanee, passed away Feb. 28, 2011, in Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare.
She was born Aug. 11, 1937, in Warsaw, to Earl and Blanche tom Sutton. On Oct. 5, 1956, she married Glen "Pete" Wuthrich, who survives.
A lifetime area resident, she graduated from Leesburg High School in 1955, and went on to work as a secretary at Weatherhead and Mutschler Cabinets before opening her own upholstery business. She was affiliated with Living Gospel Church, Nappanee.
She will be remembered as a devoted mother, a loving wife, a caring grandmother and a dear friend, who always put others before herself. She was a talented seamstress who also enjoyed walking, music, family gatherings and travel. Some of her most enjoyable times were spent walking along the beached during the winter months in the Fort Myers area.
Also surviving are four sons: Rich (and spouse Amy) Wuthrich, Roselle, Ill.; Ron (and spouse Mary Lynn) Wuthrich, Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.; Rex (and spouse Beth) Wuthrich, LaGrange, Ky.; and Ryan (and spouse Carla) Wuthrich, Hinesburg, Vt.; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three brothers: Leon (and spouse Sutton, Turlock, Calif.; Keith (and spouse Joan) Sutton, Greenville, S.C.; and Nelson (and spouse Susan) Sutton, Warsaw; and an aunt, Eileen (and spouse Tom) Chilcote, Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Kenneth Sutton; and a sister, Phyllis Mullett.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford, with the Revs. Josse Beer and Ott Beer officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
