Marilyn J. RhodesNORTH WEBSTER – Marilyn J. Rhodes, 87, of North Webster, passed away at 12:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, at Paddock Springs Nursing Home in Warsaw.
She was born on April 6, 1934, in Warsaw, to Donald E. and Rosetta Isabelle Stahly Ringler.
She was a lifetime area resident and graduated in 1952 from North Webster High School. She was married on Oct. 8, 1955, in Etna, to Jack V. Rhodes, who preceded her on Dec. 7, 2011. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Northern Indiana Public Service Company, Serenade Foods and Fort Wayne State School.
She was a member of the Salem Community Church in Wilmot.
She is survived by daughter, Bobbi (Tim) Torrance, of Middlebury; three sons: Vince (Denise) Rhodes, of North Webster; Tim (Janie) Rhodes, of Leesburg; and Jim Rhodes, of North Webster; eight grandchildren: Aubrey, Kayla, Austin, Devyn, Collin, Matthew, Tyler and Grace; one great-granddaughter, Ellie Lou Evans; sister, Virginia Jones, of Syracuse.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Kristina Schopf; and half brother, Donald Ringler.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10 at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11 at Salem Community Church, 11188 W. CR 325S, Larwill, with Pastor Gary Colby officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery.
