A Warsaw man was arrested Monday evening by the Mentone Police Department for dealing marijuana.
Raymond Manuel Ramos, 18, of Warsaw, was arrested and preliminarily charged with dealing marijuana in an amount exceeding 30 grams, a Class D Felony.
Mentone officers Terry S. Engstrand and Sam Bohnke initiated a traffic stop at 8:30 p.m. on a 1996 Oldsmobile for speeding and driving left of center. The vehicle, which was not driven by Ramos, was stopped near the intersection of CR 1000 W. and Ind. 25 near Mentone.
During the traffic stop officers noticed several criminal indicators and the strong odor of burnt marijuana. A short time later Ramos was asked to exit the vehicle where marijuana and a large sum of money was found on Ramos.
Ramos was arrested and booked into Kosciusko County Jail on $2,000 bond.
