NOBLESVILLE – Marian Ruth Breyer, 74, Noblesville, and formerly of North Webster, passed away May 25, 2014, at Indiana University Hospital North, Carmel. She was born June 27, 1939, in Madison, Wis., to Thomas and Agnes Large Amphlett. On June 29, 1963, she married Robert Breyer, who survives in Noblesville. She worked as the director of religious education at Mount Washington United Methodist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also worked as a manager of market research for Proctor and Gamble, as well as a manager at American Express Long Term Care Insurance, both in Cincinnati. Later, the family moved to North Carolina, where she worked in the accounting department for the North Carolina Industrial Commission in the workers compensation division. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Carmel; a member of the UMW Book Group; and the Stamping & Craft Club. Formerly a member of the First UMC of Noblesville, she was involved as a Stephen Ministry leader, the women’s club and the hand bell choir. She recently became a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and she was also an NRA certified firearms instructor. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. Also surviving are two sons, Sean (and spouse Kimberly) Breyer and Eric (and spouse Dana) Breyer; a brother, Donald Amphlett; a sister, Nadine Gratz; and seven grandchildren: Canyon, Sierra, Bryce, Joshua, Ethan, Jakob and Sean. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Carmel, with Pastor Suzanna Ross Helms officiating.
